We Won't Just List Your Home - We'll Sell It

Welcome home to open expanses of land and fresh air—two things you will cherish at the township of Adjala-Tosorontio in the county of Simcoe, south-central Ontario. A collection of bucolic hamlets and villages make up the rest of the township, most known in the area for being a predominantly rural community.

Although the area was settled in the early 19th century, Adjala-Tosorontio only came to be in 1993, when two townships known as Adjala and Tosorontio were amalgamated through the County of Simcoe Act. Because of the merger, boundaries that divided the two townships were erased, leaving more of the countryside's beautiful, rolling landscape to be enjoyed by everyone.

Adjala-Tosorontio enjoys a special relationship with its neighbor, New Tecumseth, thanks to etymology. Adjala, one of the townships that forms the community, was named in honor of the wife of Chief Tecumseh, for whom New Tecumseth was named.

Adjala Tosorontio Real Estate and Adjala Tosorontio Homes for Sale

Despite Adjala-Tosorontio's rolling landscape and provincial atmosphere, real estate in the community is full of potential.

Adjala-Tosorontio's location – within easy access to several major thoroughfares like Highways 50, 89, and 400 – is the perfect balance between country-style living and proximity to the urban conveniences the Greater Toronto Area provides. In the recent years, more people have settled in the township thanks to the relatively stress-free commute to the Greater Toronto Area.

Adjala-Tosorontio is divided into several established communities such as Cedarville, Rosemont, Shelton, Glencairn, Everett, Connor, and Loretto (known as one of the oldest communities in the township). Some of the names of Adjala-Tosorontio's communities reflect the township's history, as Irish Catholics were the dominant settlers in the area in the 19th century.

In these hamlets and villages you'll find an array of real estate options, but mostly single-family homes and sprawling estates. Vacant land is also ripe for the taking – the quality of the land is great for farming, but you can also turn the land into a luxury country home or an expansive equestrian property.
