We Won't Just List Your Home - We'll Sell It

Originally founded in 1847, Cookstown is a village located within Innisfil, Ontario. The village was once a tiny hamlet called Perry's Corner before it was founded by Thomas Cook. Today, Cooke's home remains standing on the west side of Highway 27. The village's post office currently holds the record for providing the longest continuous operation by a single family – it was run by the Coleman family for over a hundred years.

Before the 1960s, a railroad line running through the Cookstown's west end allowed easy access to the area, helping the village's economy. This same route exists today as part of the Trans-Canada Trail, attracting many hikers, joggers, and bikers from across the country.

Cookstown is designated as a Heritage Conservation District. The village is home to several historical buildings built during the late 1800s and early 1900s which can be found in one of its earliest residential areas as well as in its commercial core. The Cookstown Community Improvement Plan was also developed thanks to the Heritage Conversation District, helping residents, entrepreneurs, and investors revitalize the community.

Today, Cookstown is a wonderful, family-friendly community with a quiet small town atmosphere. The village remains strongly rooted to its history while keeping an eye on the future – residents enjoy a bustling economy along with greater residential development, thanks to its close proximity to both the Barrie area and the Greater Toronto area.
